Our Services

Let the Girls Shine in STEM

"Let the Girls shine in STEM” empowers girls and women to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) from the classroom to the boardroom. We do this by providing female students in primary school, secondary school, college, and the general public with mentorship, exposure, and experience.

Riki Horizon Library

The library is run by our volunteers together with community volunteers to help the young boys and girls learn how to read, enjoy reading for fun and educational purposes. This project aims at building a strong reading culture in the young boys and girls, give the kids an exposure to the beauty of reading, as well as build their literacy levels.

Community Service

Each year we aim at going an extra mile to extend a service to a community in need. This is done through workshops, meeting basic needs and empowering the community.

Our Founder

Ms. Patricia Letaru is the founder of “LETARU TECHNOLOGIES”.  She is an experienced full stack software developer / Engineer and a website administrator.

Patricia’s love for technology started from a small internet café in her hometown Arua, where each time she visited the café she was curious about how technology was manned. Patricia had a French friend (Ms. Benedict) whom she met at her mothers’ place of work (Arua Regional Referral Hospital) at the age of 8. Time came when Ms. Benedict had to leave for France, Ooh! How shall we communicate? Was Patricia’s worry, I have an email address, Ms. Benedict replied with a smile, we shall always keep in touch through email. Patricia immediately ran to the nearest internet café to get her very first email address since she had no phone nor computer. The first attempt was successful, and their communication progressed with great success. This interaction triggered her taught to use technology to change her society and the world at large.
